About

A North Van family business with 35 years in the trade

Clearview is a new company. The experience behind it is not: our owner has spent 35 years building railings and metalwork across the Lower Mainland.

01Our story

Built on trust, one railing at a time

For 35 years our owner ran a railing and metal fabrication business in the Lower Mainland. He sold that company a few years ago and has now opened Clearview Railings & Metal in North Vancouver: a family business doing the same work, with the same standards.

We’re family-owned. We do every consultation ourselves, we build in our own Lower Mainland shop, and we believe the best marketing is a job done so well that your neighbour calls us next.

Over those 35 years the work has ranged from a single stair handrail to full strata developments, and every job gets the same care.

Experience on the Shop Floor

At the core of our operations is over 35 years of hands-on experience. Our team has worked every stage of the fabrication process—from site measurement, 3D design and shop drawings to fitting, welding and finishing, and on to overseeing full-scale shop floor operations. This combination of technical know-how and management skill means we understand what a well-built project looks like, and how to deliver it efficiently.

The Manufacturing Advantage

We bridge the gap between the drawing and what gets built on site. Because our leadership understands steel fabrication from the inside out, we anticipate challenges before the first cut is made. We have structured this company from the ground up to eliminate the bottlenecks that often plague traditional fabrication shops. The result is a lean, highly responsive shop that delivers on time, with assemblies that fit the first time.

How We Work

Our estimator measures on site, our in-house designer builds a 3D model of your project, and our fabricators cut, fit and weld it in our Lower Mainland shop. Frames are squared and clamped on fixture tables before final welding, so assemblies arrive straight and ready to install. We weld carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum with MIG, stick and spot / resistance processes, and handle everything from structural frames and skids to custom railings, stairs and gates, finished with powder coating and installed by our own crew.
